New Podcast Episode. Sensing Grace was the first chapter that I ever created for the @pres_ence Project. It was the first piece of music that I composed and it was the first time I approached Chris Matthews to write some poetry for Presence. The verse from Matthew chapter 6 sums up what this project is about, finding a quiet secluded place and being there as simply and as honestly as you can before God. It’s in these special moments that I get a sense of who God is, it brings me peace and a stillness that is good for my soul. I’m conflicted about social media at the moment, I don’t know why, it’s both a source of connection and a sensory overload but I keep scrolling. I guess it’s because more things are happening, times are uncertain so I’m torn between adding to the clutter and the noise or too carry on - it’s like I’m replacing one kind of busyness for another. Presence Podcast Episode - Home released today For us in the UK we have been on lockdown now for over 3 weeks. I find it astonishing how quickly things can change and how quickly you can adapt to that change. One minute you’re out and about bidding ‘Good Morning!’ to the fellow person on the street , the next you’re passing over to the other side to get out the way, concentrating so hard to be socially distant that you forget to bid them your morning pleasantries! Suddenly after a few weeks this has become the norm. Staying home as much as possible apart from your essential trips, home for a lot of us is our place of safety. In this episode we look to God where we find security and a safe haven.
